Travel: Birmingham Frankfurt Christmas Market

There are very few things I look forwards to in November, it’s generally wet, cold and people start getting stressed about Christmas, but one thing that does make it all worth while, is the return of the Birmingham Christmas Frankfurt Market, which has grown substantially over the last 13 years, going from 24 stalls in 2000, to the largest German market outside of German, with over 190 different stalls, selling a multitude of German foods, hand made toys, beautiful jewellery and craft goods, with 2012 marking the return of an Ice rink and Ferris wheel.

The market is open from 10 am till 9 pm from the 14th of November till the 22nd of December, with different events running alongside, you are pretty much guaranteed a different experience, no matter how many times you go.

Here are a few pictures I snapped at this years event.
