Photography | Eye Candy Festival 2014
Today was the first day of Birmingham’s Eye Candy Festival, celebrating all things pop culture related, with artists, illustrators, photographers and designers taking over the Digbeth area of Birmingham from the 13th till the 15th of November.
Returning for it’s third year, this free event features installations, street artists, performance art, workshops from all overt the world, including London-based Daisy de Villeneuve, who will be leading an illustration masterclass using one-off designers, Parisian artist Fafi, producing bespoke wall-based murals, both creating their work exclusively for the festival.
Other artists making their way to the Midlands this year include, Miss Led, Muxxi, Sam Pierpoint, Felt Mistress, Brothers of the Stripe, Cachetejack, Culture Cart, Girls Who Draw, PYMCA, Column and Anna Garforth, who last year produced the amazing giant wooden Geo-Fox for the festival.
Most of the festival will take place at Boxxed, with various activities and pieces taking place throughout the Digbeth area of the city.
