Music | Flickerama 2015: A Real Film Festival

Finally film festivals make their way outdoors

Every summer, millions of people grab their tent, sun glasses and a load of beer and head of to live in a fields surrounded by people from all over the world, to enjoy music of all shapes and forms, I too am one of those people, hitting Latitude this July with the hope of having a good time, but now I have added a second festival to my itinerary, Flickerama, the worlds first greenfield film festival.

back_to_the_futureFor the first time ever, you can spend a warm August weekend in the middle of the Cotswolds watching movies on huge outdoor screens, rather than bands, from small independent films to cult classics, workshops and sing-a-longs, Flickerama is somewhat unique, “a film festival that is actually a festival”

labyrinth1Between a Rock ‘n’ Roll Prom Party to celebrate the 30th anniversary screening of Back To The Future, a Labyrinth themed masquerade ball and Jaws live in concert, you can spend your time drinking cocktails in the Boutique screen or watching something a little bit darker in the Shock and Gore tent or just relaxing in the beautiful surroundings that the festival is held.
