Beautiful landscape scenes, with added drama and a touch of the magical, all produced on a tabletop in a New York studio.
Graduating from the State University of New York, with a degree in Photography, American artist Matthew Albanese by day is a fashion photographer, but by night his work takes a more unique and wonderful turn, using household goods to produce incredibly detailed dioramas, which through the lens would be completely indistinguishable from the landscapes that inspire them.
Happening upon his signature style by complete accident, with a knocked over jar of paprika becoming the inspiration for a Martian landscape and set about an ongoing love affair with constructing tiny models and photographing them.
