
Every street photographer dreams of visiting Tokyo at least once in their lives, with its futuristic high rise buildings and historic Japanese architecture it’s easily one most beautifully unique cities in the world and no matter where you go you are likely to come away with wonderful shots.

For his series Provincial Japan Berlin-based Italian photographer, Guido Castagnoli chose to escape the confines of the city and explore the small provincial towns and villages that sit on the fringes of one of the biggest cities in the world, ending up with a set of beautifully understated shots of the lesser seen side of Japanese life.
