Clean Bandit
Clean Bandit – Tick Tock

Wonderfully mixing the genres of house, dance, R&B and classical to create something of a hybrid sound. Clean Bandit’s ability to transcend genres while working with the likes of Jess Glynne, Sean Paul, Zara Larsson, Luis Fonsi and Ellie Goulding is nothing short of impressive and now they’re back with Mabel and 24kGoldn with what was likely planned as the sound of the summer; Tick Tock.

Clean Bandit and Mabel – Tick Tock (feat. 24kGoldn) [Official Video]

Written by Clean Bandit, Mabel and Kamille (Clean Bandit ‘Solo’, Mabel ‘Don’t Call Me Up’), and produced by Grace and Jack of Clean Bandit alongside Mark Ralph (Years & Years, Sigala), ‘Tick Tock’ marks Clean Bandit’s first official release since 2018 and an exciting new chapter for the trio. Teaming-up with their long-time friend, Mabel, and featuring LA-based rapper and XXL 2020 Freshmen Issue cover star, 24kGoldn, Clean Bandit have utilised their pop formula to produce something that’s undeniably infectious and uniquely theirs.

The accompanying official video – which has been solely directed by the band – further reaffirms Bandit as one of pop’s most exciting visionaries. Playing on the song’s narrative of ‘obsession’, the abstract visual transitions through multiple rooms, each filled with the respective band member’s favourite things.

Clean Bandit is: Grace Chatto, Jack Patterson and Luke Patterson

Unlike 2014’s Rather Be, I doubt many people will be looking for Tick Tock’s deeper meanings with this song, more of a conventional pop song, which I can see going viral on its almost namesake Tik Tok.
