Ever since I happened upon and sincerely enjoyed the low-budget Australian horror documentary Lake Mungo I’ve been waiting for another film to come along that captures the same level of mystery and suspense. 12 years later I believe I’ve found it in Graham Hughes’s Death of a Vlogger. I didn’t go into this film expecting much. Still, with a combination of natural acting, a slowly-burning plot and a series of twists and turns, this small production achieves a surprising level of entertainment and breathability.
