When it comes to my taste in horror, I’m more of a fan of supernatural and paranormal films than torture-porn/gore, that isn’t to say that I don’t watch one from time to time, with The Thing and The Decent both some of my favourites.

Going into Urban Explorers, knew it was going to be a gore film, but given the location and the fact they were going to explore a bricked-up Nazi bunker, I expected the film to be closer in tone to The Decent, maybe with shades of Australian supernatural film The Tunnel, rather than Wolf Creek in the Berlin underground.
Unfortunately, made the film rather predictable and filled with poor decision-making and clichés, not helped by bad writing that had the characters acting like idiots, with the only surprising elements being the nazi being a complete red herring and the fates of the characters.

I’m not going to say that there isn’t enjoyment to be had, with the film shot well and the actors clearly giving it their all. But sadly, I found that you were too busy thinking about all the plot holes in the film and elements that didn’t make sense to keep yourself engrossed in the plot for long.
